Ms Tamzin Dawkins 1st Degree
Little Dragons Co-ordinator and Taewkon-do Assistant Instructor, Totnes & Broadhempston

Tamzin studied for three years at Bristol University, gaining a 2.1 BSc (Hons) degree in Zoology in 2001. She then returned to Cornwall on completion of her degree before moving to Devon in December 2002 to take a job as Product Coordinator at the Natural History Book Service.

In September 2003, Tamzin began her training to become a Primary School teacher and in September 2004 she began her first teaching job at Broadhempston Primary School, teaching Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Here, she set up her first Little Dragons club which has run weekly since September 2004. Tamzin is now coming towards the end of her first year of teaching and will be taking the position of South Hams Schools Little Dragons Coordinator and Little Dragons Chief Instructor in July 2005.

Tamzin began training in Taekwondo in June 2003 and competed in her first national tournament as a yellow tag in October 2003, winning a bronze medal in the team patterns event. She has since competed successfully in both local and national tournaments and is currently the British Champion for her grade in both sparring and patterns. Tamzin has also been successful in gradings, gaining credit passes in all but one of her gradings to date, and receiving three grading awards. She was awarded student of the year for Totnes Ladies Taekwondo Club for 2004.

Tamzin regularly takes part in demos around the area as well as other PUMA events such as cross training days, training camps and technical seminars run by Master Gayle.

Tamzin has also completed training in Child Protection, and First Aid, as well as being CRB checked and having completed the Little Puma’s Instructors Course. She is also a qualified assistant instructor

April 2008 - passed her 1st Degree Black Belt.
