| Northern
Championships 2006
On Saturday
4th March 7
students from the South Hams Taekwon-do Schools made the
5 hour journey to Chesterfield for the 2006 Northern Championships.
The tournament started well for the club, with Yanni Barnett
winning gold medals in the first two events of the day – Little
PUMA™ patterns
and high kick. The club continued this success throughout
the day with the final tally an impressive 16 medals.
The club was also noted for its team spirit. Pompoms in
the clubs team colours, red and yellow, could be seen around
the event and nobody could miss the cheers coming from any
ring in which a club member was competing. This all contributed
to the fun and success of the day and the competitors returned
home exhausted but jubilant.
