| Little PUMA™ Gradings – February/March
2006
Students
from Little PUMA™ clubs across
the South Hams took part in gradings at the end of February.
The 48 students, aged between 4 and 6, all passed, with some
exceptional students also awarded with credits and grading
awards. Three new students were also welcomed into their
club, receiving a certificate after performing some basic
martial arts movements.
The students had to perform many of their martial arts skills,
as well as skills in self defence and stranger awareness
in front of Chief Instructor, Lesley McGhie , who was very
pleased with the standard of the students.
The
students are now looking forward to being taught their
next themed syllabus of Teamwork. Teamwork is important
in all parts of life, encouraging others to do well through
praise and help from their colleagues. The Little PUMAs™ will
learn to get tasks completed quicker and better by working
together, and practice team problem solving. This will all
help to make a success easier to gain, whether it be in other
sports, at home, school or at work.
