First Little PUMA Black Belts for Dartmouth

This summer two students from Dartmouth’s Little PUMA™ schools completed their grading and became Dartmouth’s first ever Little PUMA™ Black Belts. Louis Chapman and Josh Mold have both been training for at least two years and put a lot of hard work and effort into achieving their goals. In order to achieve their new grades, they had to perform a variety of Martial Arts techniques as well as show off their skills in coordination in front of Chief Instructor Ms Lesley McGhie, 3 rd Degree. Ms McGhie was very impressed with the standard of the grading and is very proud of her students achievements.

Also at the grading were Jordan Thorpe and Ross Veale, who both achieved their Little PUMA™ Green Belts.

The students at Dartmouth Little PUMA’s™ are now enjoying learning their new themed syllabus of Focus and Concentration, a very useful skill for all aspects of life! Focus plays a key role in the mind set of our Little PUMA's™. Students learn how to really focus on the task at hand. We aim to develop focus in their surroundings, concentration on touch and sound, good aim, good listening skills and focusing on good techniques.

South Hams Martial Arts Schools would like to offer a big congratulations to all the students who took part in the summer gradings, and especially to Dartmouth’s first Little PUMA™ Black belts.
